It marks the first monthly improvement after three consecutive months of deteriorating business sentiment. Output expectations increased (3.8 vs -2.3 in July) and stock levels declined (9.2 vs 12.5), despite another drop in new orders (-14.5 vs -13.4) and export orders (-21.9 vs -6.6).
