China Vehicle Sales Inch Higher in June
Vehicle sales in China edged up 0.14 percent year-on-year to 2.51 million units in June of 2023 after climbing 27.9 percent a month earlier, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). Considering the first half of the year, automobile sales grew by 8.84 percent from the same period the year before to 13.12 million units.

Vehicle sales in China increased 27.9% year-on-year to 2.382 million units in May of 2023, following an 82.7% surge in the previous month, according to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM). Sales of new energy vehicles jumped 60.2%. Considering the first four months of the year, total car sales rose 11.1% to 10.62 million units and those of new energy vehicles jumped 46.8%.
