Consumer prices in Sao Paulo, Brazil's most populous city, were down by 0.14% over a month in July 2023, after being almost flat in June and compared with market forecasts of a 0.02% uptick, on account of food prices (-1.10% vs -0.80% in June). Additionally, prices slowed down for housing (0.10% vs 0.26%), personal care (0.07% vs 0.51%) and clothing (0.11% vs 0.32%).
